Marathon Against HIV

We have recently had a half marathon run for AIDS / HIV. Different individuals from the community joined the run to show support and care about HIV-affected individuals. The demographics varied amongst the participants. Stay tuned, we are organizing another run soon!

Syringe Access Program

The Syringe Access Program (SAP), initiated by our platform offers a comprehensive public health service aimed at reducing the transmission of HIV/AIDS and other blood-borne infections among intravenous drug users. This program provides sterile syringes and needles free of charge, facilitating the exchange of used for new, in an effort to minimize the risk of infection spread. Beyond syringe exchange, our SAP extends its services to include safe disposal of used syringes, access to HIV testing and counseling, referrals to drug treatment programs, and education on safer injection practices and overdose prevention. Our goal is to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment that respects the dignity of all individuals, encouraging healthier choices and connecting them with the broader spectrum of healthcare and social services.

High Schools and Universities Outreach

Last week we had an HIV awareness event tailored for high schools. It was an engaging initiative designed to educate students about HIV prevention, transmission, and stigma reduction. Through interactive presentations, personal stories, and informational booths, students gained valuable knowledge on how to protect themselves and support others affected by HIV. This event like similar events held by the intiative aims to foster a supportive and informed school environment, encouraging open discussions and promoting healthy behaviors among the youth, contributing to the broader effort of HIV prevention and awareness in the community.

Welcome to the Red Ribbon Initiative - Tunisia

The Red Ribbon Initiative (RRI) in Tunisia is a story of dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the fight against HIV/AIDS. It all began in 2024, from a collobartion between the founder and the MEPI TLU program with a shared vision: to create a national symbol of HIV awareness and support in Tunisia.

Today, the Red Ribbon Initiative in Tunisia remains a vital force in the fight against HIV/AIDS. They continue to raise awareness, promote prevention, and advocate for the rights of people living with HIV. The red ribbon serves as a powerful symbol, reminding Tunisians of the progress made and the ongoing struggle to create an AIDS-free future.

Prevention

Prevention is key in the fight against HIV. Our prevention services focus on education, awareness, and access to preventive measures such as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and promoting the concept of Undetectable Equals Untransmittable (U=U).fection for people who are at high risk. U=U means that people living with HIV who achieve and maintain an undetectable viral load cannot transmit HIV to their sexual partners. We aim to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools to protect themselves and prevent the spread of HIV.
